Time Synchronization using PTP (IEEE 1588)

I have a couple of questions regarding synchronizing the ouster scanner using PTP protocol:

What is the setup required to synchronize the ouster using PTP (IEEE 1588)? Could you provide some information about how to setup such a system?
Is there any particular requirement on the switch/other equipment used in the network?
