Coordinating the positions of tractors and trailers including the docking procedures can be difficult and time-consuming. Use of LiDAR
Outrider is using an Ouster OS0 lidar on every autonomous vehicle they are using. Lidar is essential for their vehicles to enable accurate navigation and docking. They chose the OS0 sensor due to the wide field of view which makes accurate navigation in tight spaces possible.
