Exporting PCD files

Hi, I am using OS1-64line, I got 2 general questions:

1- I am able to record/replay .pcap using OusterStudio. I need to get all frames (of my .pcap) in .pcd format. Are there approaches to do that? What do I need (package/driver/etc) and what are the steps toward them?

2- The spreadsheet (in OusterStudio) and also a single frame .ply file which I saved using the studio, contains lots of points filled out with "0" or "0.0000" in all columns. What is the reason for that and how to fix this issue? (I tried on Mac and Linux)

Hi @folira
I believe it is not possible to convert from .pcap to .pcd via Ouster Studio, however you can use the command rosrun pcl_ros bag_to_pcd <input_file.bag> <topic> <output_directory> in Linux to convert the bag file from Ouster sensor to .pcd

Mohit But Ousterstudio output is in .pcap format. can we save it in .bag file

Regarding the second question: there are zeros because the object is too close to the sensor or there is bad reflectivity

I have visualized the data using ROS drivers (https://github.com/SteveMacenski/ouster_ros1), could someone tell me how to record and save the data by using ROS driver?

OusterStudio vs RoS : which one is good for recording the LiDAR data?
I have recorded the data using ROS in .bag.active while Ousterstudio recorded in .pcap format.
Please guide me which one is good and also help me how to convert these formats into txt ,ply and PCD formats.
